Presbyterian Health Plan Individual and Employer Group Members
Presbyterian is with you during this difficult time and we’d like you to know about additional flexibilities provided to members on an individual plan or their employer’s plan that reside in one of the affected areas.
The affected areas are:
Lincoln County
Mescalero Apache Reservation
If you reside in one of these areas, the following flexibilities may be extended to you:
You may receive a grace period of 120 days and payment plan for up to 6 months, if unable to pay your premiums
Cost-sharing and deductibles waived for 120 days
Prescription refill early for 120 days and will allow for replacement for lost or damaged medication
One eyeglass or contact lens and one hearing aid replacement, according to your benefits
Denture or other prosthodontic device replacement, according to your benefits
Disposable medical supplies and durable medical equipment (DME) replacement
Presbyterian will postpone cancellations and non-renewals for no less than 120 days
Presbyterian will waive referrals and prior authorization requirements for medically necessary services, whether it’s an emergency or not

Medicaid members in need of immediate emergency services can contact Presbyterian Health Plan directly for help at

Presbyterian Health Plan can provide help with care coordination, medication refills, medical equipment such as oxygen, and help scheduling health care appointments, as needed.The New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management has an emergency services center at the Roswell Convention Center, open 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. The Health Care Authority and Medicaid Turquoise Care health plan representatives will be on site to assist SNAP and Medicaid recipients with replacement ID cards or other needs.
Presbyterian Health Plan Medicare Members
For Medicare members residing in one of the affected areas, the following flexibilities have been extended:
You may seek services from an out-of-network provider without the need for a referral and your services will be covered at the in-network rate
You may refill your prescriptions early and receive the maximum extended-day supply
You may fill a prescription at any pharmacy in New Mexico
