Health Plan Renewal Information
FOR INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY PLANS
Individual and Family health plan members will receive information on how to renew in the mail. During open enrollment, members can change benefits, add or change dependents, and so on.
FOR EMPLOYER-OFFERED PLANS
Your employer determines when your group's renewal period will happen. Renewals often take place once a year. This is also when your employer will review the health plans they offer. Your employer will finalize your group's renewal and choose an open enrollment period. Your employer will let you know you can renew and what your plan choices are. Please talk with your employer for more information.
FOR TURQUOISE CARE MEDICAID
Coverage for most Turquoise Care programs must be renewed every 12 months. About 4–6 weeks before your renewal is due, the New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA) will send you a letter telling you that it's time for you to renew your coverage. Report any changes you have in address, income, family size or other insurance coverage to HCA. HCA will let Presbyterian Health Plan know about these changes.
FOR PRESBYTERIAN SENIOR CARE (HMO) & MEDICARE PPO
Your Medicare Advantage plan renewal or Annual Election Period (AEP) occurs every year beginning October 15. To help with your renewal, you will receive an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) packet by mail at the end of September that outlines changes, if any, in the plan benefits and costs, like your monthly premium and what you pay for covered services. If you decide you want to stay in the plan you are currently enrolled in, you do not have to do anything. If you do want to make a plan change, you have between October 15 and December 7 to make that change.
