The Academic Medical Education Department manages clinical rotations for future physicians, physician assistants (PAs), and nurses with prescriptive authority as well as other graduate level advanced practice disciplines. Presbyterian welcomes residents and medical students in any year of their education.

Our precepted rotations include both hospital and clinic-based locations that meet the educational program needs of our affiliated Academic partners and students.

Presbyterian has Educational Affiliation Agreements (EAAs) with many institutions throughout the country covering a wide variety of degree programs. A current EAA with your school and program is required to attend clinical rotations at Presbyterian. To see if your school has a current EAA with Presbyterian please contact our Medical Education Team at clinicalrotations@phs.org.

  • No Student can attend a rotation until they are completely cleared to start by the Medical Education team.

Finding a Preceptor

All our Preceptors are volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to help you accomplish your academic goals. Many students or school academic coordinators arrange their own Preceptors. However, if needed the Medical Education team can assist you in locating a preceptor. Please contact our Medical Education team at clinicalrotations@phs.org to assist you in finding a preceptor specific to your rotation needs.

For your preceptor to be eligible for your rotation they must be registered with the Medical Education department. If your preceptor is not currently registered, they can do so easily by going to our secure Online Preceptor Portal.
