Presbyterian’s physical therapy team can help patients regain or improve their physical function and movement after surgery, an injury or due to the effects of a chronic illness. Physical therapists use different types of treatments depending on your specific needs and can work closely with your healthcare provider and other therapy team members to create a personalized rehabilitation plan. Some of the types of treatments used may include therapeutic exercises, stretches, manual therapy, return to sport, balance training, training in the use of assistive devices, as well as patient education so you can continue to maintain or improve your physical function even after the formal physical therapy period is completed.
This location provides the following types of physical therapy treatments:
Amputation therapy, including phantom limb pain and prosthetic training
Balance and gait therapy
Dizziness/vestibular therapy
Dry needling
Hand therapy
Lymphedema therapy
Motor vehicle accident injury therapies
Orthopedic therapy, including pre- and postoperative therapies for surgeries including joint replacements
Orthotics fitting and training
Pelvic floor therapy
Solid Ground fall prevention classes
Sports-related injury therapies for weakness, muscle or joint injuries, or post-concussion therapy
Neurologic therapy for patients with strokes, Parkinson’s disease, Guillain-Barre syndrome, traumatic brain injuries and more

Based on your medical history and personal fitness goals, our exercise staff will develop an exercise prescription tailored to your unique requirements.The Healthplex currently offers a variety of classes such as yoga, stretch and tone and aerobics.
