Tuition Reimbursement

Presbyterian employees have access to education assistance for degreed programs, within certain guidelines. Educational programs that prepare staff for “hard-to-fill” positions may qualify for tuition reimbursement.

Educational Assistance Program Eligibility

Candidates for reimbursement must:

  • Receive a B in all courses for which reimbursement is requested
  • Not be in formal corrective action

Degrees Covered

Bachelor degree programs will be reimbursed, if the degree sought is:

  • Required for the current job
  • Required for a hard-to-fill job (see list below)

Graduate degree programs will be reimbursed, if the degree sought is:

  • Required for the current job
  • An entry degree for a hard-to-fill job (e.g., PharmD)
  • A Masters in Nursing

Reimbursement Amount

Annual reimbursement will be a flat $3,500 for full-time employees and $1,500 for part-time employees per calendar year. A participant will not receive more than the maximum limit in any given calendar year. Participants may be reimbursed for tuition and fees up to the annual limit. This will not be administered by semester; it will be administered by year.

Application Process

Employees must apply for the program by July 31 or December 31 of each year and will be included in the program based on eligibility, degree program and total number of applicants. Eligible employees who are not accepted into the program, due to the number of applicants, will be placed on a waiting list.

Payback

Employees will be required to work 2080 hours following the final reimbursement. If their employment ends before the 2080 work hours are complete, the employee will be required to pay back 100% of all reimbursement received during the final year of program participation.
