Presbyterian Hosts Venomous Animal Specialist

Presbyterian Hospital is hosting a special lecture by Sean Bush, M.D., professor of emergency medicine, emergency physician and envenomation (venomous animal) specialist at Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

As one of the most important and recognized toxicologists in the world, Dr. Bush will discuss the latest emergency room protocols and procedures for patients presenting with bites from various snakes, lizards, spiders, scorpions and other critters indigenous to New Mexico and the Southwest.

Dr. Bush has authored more than 50 publications on the treatment of bites and stings and has lectured on the local, national and international level. He has been featured in dozens of television documentary productions on several cable networks including Venom ER on Animal Planet, the Discovery Channel, National Geographic Television, PBS and others.
