Presbyterian Provides Financial Assistance to Patients in Need

We encourage all patients who believe they are unable to pay for medically necessary services provided by any Presbyterian Healthcare Services facility or provider to apply for financial assistance.

Presbyterian Healthcare Services financial assistance policy utilizes the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) as a basis for establishing eligibility for free or reduced cost of medically necessary services.  Presbyterian’s policy provides for free care where the family income is at or below 200% of the FPG.  In cases where the family income falls at 201% to 300% of the FPG, a sliding scale is utilized to determine eligibility.

To apply for financial assistance, please visit the nearest Presbyterian facility and ask to speak with a Patient Service Representative or you may call us at 505-923-6600 or toll free at 1-800-251-9292.

The process will require the completion of an application which requires the disclosure of financial information necessary to determine eligibility based on Presbyterian’s policy.

Upon completion of the application, a Presbyterian representative will review your request and apply Presbyterian’s policy using the current Financial Assistance Determination Guide (.pdf).
